The hotel was great and magical, with unique location directly at the sea. Our rooms were luxurious and big with A/C, a stunning view and beautiful garden.

Wonderful hotel, brand-new rooms, absolutely breathtaking view on the ocean and Mnemba Island. Nice pool, beautiful and favourable location directly at the sea. Based really close to the mainstream beaches and usual tourist traps as well as the garden.

Very busy area.

The location is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the sea. We loved that it was situated in a remote and untouched area, away from the busy tourist hotels. The well-maintained grounds and infinity pool added to the luxurious feel of the hotel. The rooms were spacious, with a really big and comfortable bed, providing us with a great night's sleep. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially Munisee who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food and cocktails served at the restaurant were of top quality, and we enjoyed having a bar right on the beach, with sunbeds, showers, and even a free regular taxi service. The hotel also offered very good prices for taxi services to other places, making it convenient for us to explore the surrounding areas. we highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends for its enhanced comfort, quality services, and stunning location.

sunshine marine lodge was even better than our last stay in matemwe. the secluded location was perfect for a romantic getaway. the breathtaking views from the restaurant and pool over to the mnemba atoll were stunning. the dive school and coral reef diving were exceptional. the staff were kind, polite, and caring. it truly felt like a home away from home.

Could have used help with luggage at check-out.

The location here is amazing, right by the ocean 🌊. It's just a short stroll to another beach nearby, and the gardens are beautiful with colorful flowers. You can even catch a glimpse of Pemba island from here.

We highly recommend this resort to anyone staying in Matemwe. We had a wonderful time during our visit, enjoying the breathtaking views and interacting with the friendly staff. We were pleasantly surprised to find a comfortable seating area and a writing table in the standard double room.

The best part about our stay was the stunning sea views from our balcony. We could see a beautiful small island just a short distance away. The hotel also had a superb reef for diving and snorkeling, and we even had the incredible experience of swimming with dolphins. The dive center on the premises was professional and convenient. The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, and the rooms themselves were stunning, made from raw and natural materials. The hotel's pool area was spacious and lovely, providing the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the ocean view.

One downside was that the rooms had open sides with netting, which may not feel very private to some people. Additionally, the WiFi was frequently down, which was unfortunate.

My stay at Sunshine Marine Lodge was absolutely amazing! The peaceful and calming atmosphere of the place made it the perfect getaway. The rooms were spacious and clean, and I had the best view of the beach. The food prepared by the chef was delicious and made with love. The diving experience organized by Frank and Simon was exceptional, with Zanzibar offering beautiful diving spots. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation away from the noise of the city.
